Recap From Village Meeting Saturday 9/24/2022
20-30 people showed up yesterday, Saturday 9/24/2022 to talk about the current state of and the future of the 15 acre property in Brewster known as Great Cape Tiny Village.
There was a lot of emotion felt about the way the town has handled the closing of the Herb Shop and other parts of the property, but cooler heads prevailed and the consensus was that we need to sort through the Cease and Desist Order that the town issued on September 9th, 2022 and figure out what needs to be done to address each point they make.
We have already done some of the repairs that are necessary and put together a good portion of the documentation the town is requesting. We are contacting licensed contractors to get bids on the rest of the work and will be doing our best to address all concerns in a timely manner.
We will be having a follow up meeting next Saturday at 2 PM on the front lawn to see what new developments have come up and what the next steps are. We appreciate everyone that came out and please attend Town meeting coming up in the next few weeks and let them know how important this property is to you and Brewster.
There are two meetings this week where the property will be on the agenda.
